ADMINISTRATIVE POLICIES:

Basics & Beyond Real Estate Institute is registered with the Washington State Department of Licensing and complies with the requirements and educational standards establish by the Real Estate Commission. In the event of any dispute concerning the terms of this agreement, in addition to any other legal remedies or relevant Commission regulations, either party may seek the assistance of the State Attorney General’s Office. Prior to seeking such assistance, however, the parties shall attempt to exhaust all institutional grievance and appeals procedures.

Admission Policy: Open to all real estate licensees. Students may register in person and are considered registered when they have provided their name, mailing address, telephone number, email address and payment information. Payment in full is required before the start of the course.

Attendance Requirements:

Live Classes: Students attending live classes are monitored by the instructor and are required to sign in/out on an attendance roster. Students must participate in all course activity including role playing and practical exercises. Students must complete a Course Evaluation Certificate prior to receiving a Completion Certificate.

Correspondence Classes: Students completing correspondence courses must review all material and complete an examination with at least a 70% passing score. They must also submit a Mandatory Course Evaluation certifying that they have read the material contained in the course and that they have completed the examination without any outside assistance prior to being issued a Completion Certificate.

On-Line Classes: Students completing on-line classes are issued a registration number to access the course along with creating their own unique password. Upon successful completion of the course, students are prompted to complete and submit with electronic signature a “Statement of Compliance and Affirmation of Student Identity” attesting to the fact that he/she is the person who completed the course without any outside assistance. Students must meet the criterion of 70% correct in the lesson before the quiz book is released. The quiz book is made up of all the questions from the previous lesson and developed into a randomized quiz. The criterion for the quiz is 80% correct. Students are also required to complete a Course Evaluation and submit to Basics & Beyond Real Estate Institute prior to issuance of a Completion Certificate.

Causes for Dismissal & Conditions for Readmission/Refund:

Termination by Student:

Live Classes: Ten paid students are required when the instructor must travel to an area outside the home office. No refunds will be given for students who fail to attend scheduled training.

Correspondence Classes: Students may receive a refund minus $5.00 for shipping and handling if the material has not been written in or otherwise damaged and it is returned within 30 days of issuance.

On-Line Classes: An administrative fee of 5% will be charged to students who terminate within 10 days of purchase. A 25% administrative fee will be charged to students who terminate within 30 days of purchase. No refund shall be provided after 30 days. Drop-shipped books must be returned to Basics & Beyond RE Institute prior to refund being processed. If books are not returned or are not in good condition, refunds may be subject to additional book fees.

Termination by School:

The Basics & Beyond Real Estate Institute reserve the right to terminate a student’s enrollment for non-payment or for failure to complete the course within 6 months or failure to abide by the school’s conduct policies including, but not limited to, use of illicit drugs, drinking of alcoholic beverages, disruptive behavior, excessive tardiness or insufficient progress as evidenced by failure to complete assigned work.

In the event of a prolonged illness or other personal situations beyond the student’s control, a refund may be made which is reasonable and fair, provided the student provides a written request within 30 days of enrollment. Students may also be granted re-admission if course is not completed with 6 months on a case-by-case basis.
